Legal & Privacy Policy
Brand.net Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy has three parts: (I) a description of Brand.net's privacy practices related to advertisements served on other sites by Brand.net (see section I below), (II) a description of Brand.net's privacy practices related to personal information collected from Brand.net advertiser and publisher partners ("Partners") on this site as well as any self-serve reporting site made available to our Partners (see section II below), and (III) general provisions that apply to both cases I and II. Any reference in this Privacy Policy to Brand.net serving ads includes our service providers serving ads on our behalf.
I. Advertisement-related Information
Section I of this privacy policy describes our data practices with respect to advertisements that we serve (including those served on our behalf by a service provider).
Information Collection
When we serve you, or you respond to, an advertisement on our network of publisher sites, we may collect information about that interaction. However, the information we collect is not personally identifiable to the person interacting with the advertisement. We may utilize service providers to serve ads and collect information on our behalf.
We use technologies like cookies and web beacons to collect data regarding ads we serve on our network of Partner sites, and user interactions with those ads. This data we collect may include IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, domain names, access dates, and times, referring website addresses, whether the user clicked on the advertisement.
"Web beacons" are tiny colorless electronic images files, also called single-pixel gifs, placed in a web page or ad, which are served by Brand.net and used to track ad impressions and clicks on ads. "Cookies" are files that the Internet browser places on your computer's hard drive. Cookies are used to improve the experience web users have when they see web advertisements.
There are many misconceptions about cookies and web beacons. Cookies and web beacons do not tell us an e-mail address or any other personally identifiable information. Brand.net does not and cannot use cookies or web beacons to retrieve personal information from your computer. You have the option of blocking cookies in your browser. Please see the help menu of your browser for details on how to do this.
The ads we serve are provided by third party advertisers. These ads may contain web beacons that we do not control and which provide information to our advertisers. We use reputable third party(ies) to serve some or all of the ads that we serve on our network of sites.
Ads delivered by Brand.net may enable you to access other sites. The linked sites are not under the control of Brand.net. Brand.net does not assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, products, services and content of linked sites. Visitors should consult the other sites' privacy notices as we have no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, these third parties.
Information Use
We may use the collected information for the operation of our services related to serving ads, to generate statistical information about the ads we serve and the ways in which people interact with them, and to develop anonymous profiles (based on unique identifiers such as cookies) of the users who interact with the ads we serve.
Cookies are used by our reporting system to estimate the total reach of an ad campaign, as well as frequency of display. This allows advertisers to determine with greater accuracy the composition of the audience they reach. Cookies are also used to control the delivery of a series of ads to a web browser, and to limit the number of times a web browser receives any one advertisement.
Information Disclosure
Brand.net may share collected information with advertisers, third party marketers and our affiliated entities for their online and/or offline marketing programs. We also may share collected information with vendors, administrative service providers, and technology providers.
Brand.net may release collected information when we believe release is appropriate to respond to a subpoena or otherwise comply with the law; enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of Brand.net or others.
Opting Out of Cookies
We enable you to opt out of cookie tracking. If you do not want a unique cookie, there is a simple procedure to follow. Click here to replace your unique cookie with an opt-out cookie, and ads we serve to your browser will not be targeted based on a unique cookie identifier. Note that if you erase or otherwise alter your browser's cookie file (including upgrading certain browsers) you may need to opt out again, and opting out of the ad-serving cookie does not mean that you will stop seeing either pop up advertising or banner ads embedded in websites.
II. Information from Partner Employees
Information Collection and Use
Brand.net (including, through its service providers) collects the information on this site as well as any self-serve reporting site made available to our Partners. Partner information collected includes information that is necessary to conduct business, such as name, phone number, and email address. Payments made to and from Brand.net may require the collection of information that may include credit card numbers and bank account information. We may collect IP addresses in our logs. Phone numbers may be used to contact Partners for sales or inventory acquisition purposes. This information is used for service, media delivery, contact, billing and accounts payable purposes.
Cookies may be used to simplify Partner login and to facilitate secure navigation through the password protected areas of the website. Partners who choose to reject all cookies may have difficulty navigating the password protected areas of the website depending on the nature of their connection.
Information Sharing
Except as otherwise stated herein, Partner information is not shared with any third party outside Brand.net and its affiliates. We may share Partner information as necessary to conduct business, such as clearing a credit card transaction for an advertising campaign purchase or making a direct deposit to pay a Publisher, or as required by law.
We may provide Partner information to third party service providers who work on behalf of or with us to provide services related to the site and to help us communicate with you. Examples of such services include sending e-mail, providing marketing assistance, and providing customer service. However, these service providers do not have any independent right to share this information (except pursuant to a legal requirement such as a subpoena or warrant).
We may also share some or all Partner information with a parent company, any subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under a common control (collectively, "Affiliates"), in which case we will require our Affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy.
We may disclose Partner information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us; or (b) to protect and defend the rights or property of Brand.net and third parties.

III. General
Ads
We may serve ads in this site that may contain tracking capabilities. We may use any information collected (not including personally identifiable information) about visits to this site to assist in serving advertisements to consumers that are relevant to their interests. This site may also allow third-party ad servers to serve ads, through which they may collect non-personally identifying information through the use of cookies and web beacons, as described in such third parties' privacy policies.
Security
Brand.net has implemented reasonable security measures in order to protect both personal and non-personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction.
No transmission of data over the Internet is guaranteed to be completely secure. It may be possible for third parties not under the control of Brand.net to intercept or access transmissions or private communications unlawfully. While we strive to protect your information, Brand.net cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us. You acknowledge and assume this risk when communicating with Brand.net.
Changes in Corporate Structure
If all or part of Brand.net (or its assets) is sold, merged or otherwise transferred to another entity, the information that we retain may be transferred as part of that transaction. However, Brand.net will take reasonable steps to assure that such information is used in a manner consistent with the Brand.net privacy policy under which it was collected.
