Ad Technologies/Tech Ops Specialist
Brand.net is looking for an experienced Ad Technologies/Technical Operations Specialist to join our growing team of online advertising operations professionals in its San Mateo, CA office. As a Technical Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing scalable programs to support various ad technologies such as rich media and video. Not only will you be responsible for building the programs and working with partners, you will also work with Marketing, Sales, Engineering and Product to ensure that the programs are well-supported and effectively executed throughout the organization. You will also be responsible for developing policies and process for efficient troubleshooting and QA across the Media Operations team, working with publishers and partners on advanced creative applications, and resolving more advanced technical ad operations issues, particularly related to ad-serving.
Responsibilities
- Develop, support, and manage scalable and effective programs involving advanced creative formats and other evolving ad technologies, such as in-stream video
- Cultivate and manage day-to-day relationships with platform partners, publishers, and rich media vendors, especially in the context of partnering on new programs
- Build policies and streamline processes for increased effectiveness in troubleshooting and QA of ad creative, including advanced formats and other evolving ad technologies
- Support our publisher operations function by partnering with our publishers to ensure that ads are implemented and served effectively and efficiently
- Work cross-functionally, particularly with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering, to plan, promote, launch, implement, troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize our advanced creative programs
- Provide prompt, knowledgeable support to Sales, Media Operations, partners, and clients
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to provide feedback on improvements to our ad systems and client offerings
Desired Experience/Skills
- 3-5 years experience in the online display media industry in an technical operations capacity
- Experience working in an ad network or DSP environment
- Working knowledge of CSS and its implications when serving display ads
- Expert knowledge of in-stream ad serving
- Experience working with Unix/Linux
- Basic working knowledge of PHP and Java
Required Experience/Skills
- Bachelors Degree required
- 1-3 years experience in the online ad space operating in a technical operations capacity
- Experience with third party ad serving systems such as DART, Atlas, 24/7 OAS, Adtech Helios, etc. required
- Experience with rich media vendors and formats such as Motif, PointRoll, Eyewonder, Eyeblaster, video, etc. required
- Expert knowledge of HTML and Javascript required, particularly as it pertains to ad serving
- Ability to excel in a highly dynamic, fast-paced startup environment that requires a fast learner and flexible thinker who will take initiative
- Ability to efficiently and effectively produce high quality work
- Strong team player that will work cross-functionally across sales, marketing, media operations, product management, and engineering

Senior Framework/API Engineer
Brand.net is looking for an experienced engineer to develop our internal libraries and tools for our ad serving platform. Expert enterprise level java is required. Experience with database backed applications is preferred. Experience in the advertising industry is a plus.

Brand.net is looking for an experienced engineer to develop our internal applications. The ideal candidate has both java and Adobe Flex expertise. Experience with database backed enterprise applications is preferred.

Media Buyer
Brand.net is looking for an experienced online display advertising Media Buyer to join our growing team of online advertising professionals. This position will play a critical role for our Media Planning and Buying team, helping Brand.net develop and manage long term relationships with leading, top-quality online media publishers in key channels.
The ideal candidate will have the experience and skills required to successfully identify and qualify publisher partners, negotiate terms and pricing, execute contracts, and work with internal and external partner teams to maximize long-term benefit for both Brand.net and our partners.

Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify advertising relationships with leading online publishers
- Manage deal negotiation from initial discussions through contract and renewal processes
- Monitor site/placement revenue and profitability and work with internal and publisher teams to optimize results
- Develop, own and manage long-term relationships with strategic publisher partners
- Regularly review results, insights and suggestions for improving network performance with company executives
- Communicate proactively with Planning, Advertiser Sales, Account Mgmt, and Ad Operations teams to ensure quality campaign results
- Work with product and engineering teams to provide feedback on improvements to our ad systems and client offerings
Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- 2-3 years media buying or relevant advertising operations experience at a leading online network, DSP or advertising agency
- Superb communications, pitching, negotiation, and analytic skills
- Previous experience working with media planning tools such as Comscore and Ad Relevance desired
- Ability to excel in a fast paced, team first, results-oriented environment
- Excellent sense of humor and a strong desire to have a major impact on the online ad business
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
